This KWPN gelding is a very talented and impressive in the arena. He really enjoys his work and is a quick learner with lots of ability making him a super performance horse of the future. He has ample scope to progress his dressage career.
Insanity has got incredible subtle, elastic and expressive paces. His lateral work has great scope and crossing as well as fantastic hock action. He has been professionally produced and is a very honest horse. He is very easy to handle and would also be suitable for a less advanced rider, he is good to hack both alone and in company and easy to shoe and load. Insanity is only for sale due to a change in the owners circumstances.
Insanity is from the impressive Johnson, Ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud, Glock’s Johnson TN N.O.P. has risen to be one of world’s best combinations in dressage. The son of Jazz takes in the 6th placing on the FEI World Ranking, after winning the golden team medal and individual bronze at the European Championships in Aachen. “His outstanding attitude has made the greatest difference at the highest level. Even if he is almost unable to do something, Johnson will do it for you anyhow”, rider Hans Peter Minderhoud says about his number one horse. “When Johnson enters the ring, all people will sit up. He truly is a king!”
After the phenomenal performances of Johnson in Aachen last year, you could almost forget the bronze team medal at the World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014. And of course the victories in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Spécial in Treffen, the second placings in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle in Rotterdam. As a sire, Johnson seems to walk in the footsteps of his sire Jazz and grandsire Flemmingh. Jazz himself performed at Grand Prix level and for many years has been among world’s best dressage sires on the WBFSH Sire Ranking. Through offspring like Krack C and Lingh, also Flemmingh has left its mark on today’s breeding of dressage horses. The offspring of Johnson make great impressions on all levels as well. The approved stallion Meggle’s Boston (Hendrik Lochthowe) already performs at Grand Prix level, while Bretton Woods (Matthias Alexander Rath) and Boston STH (Denise Nekeman) are close to it. Also on the KWPN shows, the offspring of Johnson does a fantastic job. Just think of Handsome O, the champion of the KWPN Stallion Show in 2015.
His dam Zespri also has exceptional breeding with Scandic being the sire, Scandic is one of the best four Grand Prix dressage horses in the world since June 2011 and may even be called the world’s best dressage stallion. Scandic won the bronze medal in the Freestyle at the European Championships 2011 in Rotterdam with Patrik Kittel. In 2013 he finished 7th in the World Cup final.
At his debut at the European Championships 2009 in Windsor, he finished 8th. In 2010 hebecame5th in the World Cup final and represented Sweden at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. Meanwhile, the Swedish pair broke two Swedish records. For example, Scandic won the Freestyle in Falsterbo 2011 with 82.78%!
For a dressage horse Scandic has an original pedigree. After Michelangelo we seeAkteur, Lucky Boy xx and Le Faquin xx in his pedigree. Both his father Solos Carex and his grandfather Admiral excelled at the highest level in dressage. Great grandmother Eljenohve is also mother of Billy Twomey’s formal top Grand Prix horse Luidam. In 2008 Scandic made his debut in the Small Tour with his new Swedish rider Patrik Kittel. Some quotes in the media: “Scandic was the great discovery at the VHO Trophy Dressage”, “Scandic has developed very well, the stallion swinged through the arena”, “Scandic showcased his talent for collection and went with lots of power through the trot and canter tour”, “Scandic has a lot of quality and shows everything for the highest level”. In the battle for the VHO Trophy, Scandic and Patrik Kittel finished 2nd.
Scandic have three approved sons up to now: Sir Scandic (Scandic x Lord Sinclair) in Oldenburg, Zambuka (Scandic x Biotop) for the KWPN and So You Think (Scandic x Krack C) for the NRPS. Zambuka was the 2008 Vice Champion in the Pavo Cup for 4-year-old dressage horses. One year later, hewas finalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden. Also in mare tests, IBOP and during the VSN trophy offspring of Scandic achieve excellent results.
Scandic brings the requisite power and tact in a dressage horse.
